Another original character has signed on to join the "Heroes Reborn" cast!
He may not have had special powers, but Mohinder Suresh was a key character in "Heroes". Will he be continuing his work in Tim Kring's reboot mini-series?
According to Deadline, the 13-episode remake won't be the only superhero-themed series that Sendhil Ramamurthy will be starring in this year. He also signed on to Stan Lee's "Lucky Man" for the British channel Sky1.
He will be playing Governor Julian of Brixton Hill Prison in the 10-episode series. James Nesbitt will also star.
Meanwhiele, in the "Hereos Reborn" remake, he will most likely reprise his role as the geneticist Dr. Suresh. In the original version, he continued his father's research about evolved human beings. He flew all the way to New York from India to find the truth out about his father's death. As he dived further into the research, he found himself in the danger that caused his father to die.
With Tim Kring producing a sequel of sorts for the 2006-2010 cult classic, will Dr. Suresh be facing more danger? How involved will he be in the apparent conflict between EVOs and the people who want them erased from the world?
Ramamurthy will be joining other previous cast mates, Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Greg Grunberg who will be returning as Noah Bennet, Hiro Nakamura, The Haitian and Matt Parkman respectively.
Fan favorites Milo Ventimiglia (who played Peter Petrelli), Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennett) and Zachary Quinto (Sylar) unfortunately declined to reprise their roles for the reboot.
On the other hand, new faces will be gracing the small screen come this Fall for the "Heroes Reborn" remake.
"Chuck" star Zachary Levi, "Orphan Black" fan favorite Dylan Bruce and "The Boy Next Door" actor Ryan De Guzman, among others have all signed up for the job.
