Shortly following her public announcement that she is pregnant with baby no. 2, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West attended the prestigious CFDA Awards (Council of Fashion Designers of America) as presenters held at New York City's Lincoln Center.
And while the couple has undeniably enjoyed the awards night, an accident happened during the the dinner party that involved the pregnant Kim Kardashian, her sheer, grommeted Proenza Schouler dress and a candle.
Apparently, Kim K's dress was "caught on fire from the candle," but fortunately her friends Pharrell Williams and wife, Helen Lasichanh were on the right place and the right time to save her from the fire.
"Shout out to Pharrell & Helen who saved my life last night! LOL After the awards at dinner the feathers of my dress caught on fire from a candle & they jumped on me to get it out!" The 34-year-old reality star posted on her Facebook.
However, there are no further details about the incident except for Kim Kardashian's post.
The reality star announced her pregnancy during her show's mid season finale last Sunday.
"I just got the blood test back, and I am pregnant!" Kim told her sister Khloe during the mid season finale of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
"We are so beyond excited," she also confirmed to Glamour in an interview
And while the reality star cannot contain her happiness, she also admitted that being pregnant with baby no. 2 was no easy task.
"It's really rare. I didn't know that I was going to be so open with [my fertility challenges]," she told Glamour Magazine.
"But meeting people at my fertility doctor's office who are going through the same things I'm going through, I thought, Why not share my story? It's been really emotional. One doctor told me I would need my uterus removed after I had another baby -- I could only have one more. One was like, 'You should get a surrogate.' The other one was like, 'Oh, no, you'll be fine.' Then I called my doctor, and he's like, 'You know what? I believe -- we'll get through it.' There are definitely times when I walked out [of the doctor's office] hysterically crying, and other times when I was like, 'OK, everything's looking good -- it's going to be this month!' The waiting and waiting has been a roller coaster."
