Watch The First ‘Point Break’ Remake Trailer! Many Fans Think That The Footage Is Terrible! ‘Looks Like A Crappy Fast And Furious Rip Off’

A few weeks ago, first photos of "Point Break" remake were unleashed and it gave fans a glimpse of the two lead characters Luke Bracey (Johnny Utah) and Edgar Ramirez (Bodhi).

This time, fans were able to see the actors that took over the role of Keanu Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze in action.

Warner Bros. recently released the first trailer of "Point Break" remake, which was directed by Ericson Core. According to The Telegraph, "The Fast and the Furious" cinematographer chose the remake for his first foray into feature filmmaking decided he could handle it.

However, Core may have made a big mistake if the first trailer is anything to go by.

Die-hard fans of the Kathryn Bigelow action flick were quick to react when they saw the footage of the remake and had let the Twitter world know how terrible it is.

The 1991 film received positive reviews and has become one of the most iconic surfing films in the history of Hollywood movies.

Check out some of the fans' reactions regarding the "Point Break" remake trailer:

"POINT BREAK remake just means Hollywood is a creatively bankrupt dumpster (but there's 4 Transformers movies so you should know this by now)," Christopher Sebela wrote on Twitter.

Will, who has the username @DoBoy92, can't help but compare the reboot to a popular film franchise. "The Point Break trailer looks nothing like the original....looks like a crappy fast and furious rip off...smh another classic ruined," he wrote.

Bee @BeeBopBumble, on the other hand, dissed Luke Bracey. "Ok just saw the trailer for the new #PointBreak who is this blonde upstart? He is no #KeanuReeves not even close," Bee wrote.

In a previous interview with the Aussie heartthrob, he revealed that fans will see a different character. "It would be disrespectful for me to mimic Keanu. This is a new and updated version of Johnny Utah," Bracey said as reported by Belfast Telegraph.

Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez and the rest of the cast will make a splash on December 25, 2015. Check out the first trailer of "Point Break" remake below:
