Dwyane Wade started his NBA career with the Miami Heat where he won a total of three rings, two of which was while he was playing side-by-side LeBron James.
However, in a report by Slam Online, rumors state that the 33-year-old guard may head out of South Beach, as he could possibly scout for a different team come the 2015-16 NBA season.
The 12-year veteran may opt out "if he doesn't get his money this summer," as said by the source.
"Last summer, in order to give the Heat flexibility to augment its roster, Wade opted out of the final two years of a contract that would have paid him $41.6 million," Miami Herald said in a report that started all the rumors. "He instead accepted a two-year, $31 million deal, which included a player option for next season at $16.1 million. [...] Wade said last summer that he was curious to see what he could command in the summer of 2016, when the cap is expected to skyrocket from $67 million to $89 million. That led to the belief that Wade would opt-in this summer."
Miami Herald also pointed out that Dwyane Wade's agent Henry Thomas claimed that they are currently under negotiations and revealed a possibility of him leaving the Miami Heat this year.
"With the amount of time he has spent with the organization, every effort will be made to try to work something out," Thomas said. "The five times he played for a championship, resulting in three championships, is a significant accomplishment for any professional. We are continuing to talk about a resolution that would be satisfactory to both sides."
Although Pro Basketball Talk pointed out that it would be hard to imagine Wade wearing a different uniform, they believed that the three-time NBA champ and the Miami Heat still have their eyes on each other.
Rumors rise that Wade might move to the Chicago Bulls next season to try and build a championship-caliber team and expects to finish his career in his hometown.
