Today Huawei finally unveiled its new lineup of smartphones, Huawei P8, Huawei P8 Max and Huawei P8 Lite.
The three smartphones debuted at SEA launch event in Bangkok and were confirmed to arrive in India by next month. (Indian Express)
"All the smartphones will be launched in India within the third quarter of this year. The prices are yet to be fixed, however, it would be similar to what it costs in China. The flagship P8 will not join the price war and will cost above Rs 29,000," said Wang Guodong, President, India Device Business Department, Huawei.
"The P8 Lite is a budget offering and will compete in the mid range price segment." (via Indian Express)
The Huawei P8 and P8 Max have the same screen resolution of 1080p display with the screen sizes of 5.2-inches and 6.8-inches respectively, with Gorilla Corming Glass 3 covering for protection.
Specs-wise, Hauwei 16GB edition comes powered by a Kirin 930 SoC, the 64GB edition features slightly advanced octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex A53 Kirin 935 SoC, while the P8 Max powered by an Octa-core HiSillicon Kirin 935 SoC, it comprises of a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, a Cortex A53 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. Both devices are paired with a 3GB of RAM and support up to 128GB. (IB Times)
As for the camera, the P8 Max sports a 13mp camera sensor with OSI and dual LED flash and an 8MP on the front, while P8 has a 5MP selfie snapper.
As for the mid-ranger P8 Lite, it features a 5-inch IPS display with resolution support of 1,280x720 pixels at 294ppi count and packs a Octa-core 1.2GHz Hisillicon Kirin 620 SoC aptly backed with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and supports up to 128GB external storage expandability. It has a 13mp rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5mp front camera. (via Phone Arena)
