Most of the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere will be spent exploring the relationship between Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Dra. Bedelia du Maurier (Gillian Anderson).
The two flee the United States to Europe where they now pose as couple. They are not just there to escape American authorities but also to hunt a new victim. Also, according to other spoilers, the pilot episode of the NBC horror series' third run will have multiple timelines.
Will Graham, portrayed by Hugh Dancy, will not be see in the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode. However, when he does return, watch out because he will be different from the Will Graham Lecter left for dead in the second season's finale. He will be a little similar to Frankenstein.
In an interview with Comic Book Resources a week before the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere, series developer Bryan Fuller said they will pay homage to the famous horror novel scientist through Will Graham.
"We're very into horror homages on the show. Really, for Will Graham this season, the most accurate horror homage for us was Frankenstein," he said.
"Here's a guy that has been gutted, arguably dead, and coming back from that death, being sewn back together, and looking for the man who created him to understand what his journey is. That's the tip of the iceberg. It felt like an interesting journey where we had to make him a different Will Graham than Season One or Season Two Will Graham."
As for the other characters who were on the wrong end of the blood bath in the second season's final episode, they will also experience dramatic changes in "Hannibal" season 3.
These are Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne)., Dr. Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas), and Abigail Hobbs (Kacey Rohl).
"They have to grow and have to change. Everyone who survives that horror house finale of season two is a slightly different character because they can't help but be changed by what they experienced," Fuller said.
