'Injustice 2' Release Date Expected Alongside With Warner Bros. 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice! NetherRealm Slowly Giving Out Hints?

| By

While there has been no direct news coming from NetherRealm about a possible "Injustice 2" release date, there are ongoing expectations and speculations that the follow-up superhero game could be launched alongside its movie counterpart "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Attack of the Fanboy mentioned that while it's not yet confirmed releasing "Injustice 2" with the Warner Bros. movie would definitely help boost the market for NetherRealm's already successful game.

"There is no doubt that a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us would sell well regardless of when it releases, but with there certainly being no tie-in game to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it would make absolute sense to release Injustice 2 next March or April," the publication stated.

"This would put it out either right before or right after in a slot that NetherRealm loves, with Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Mortal Kombat X all releasing in the same time period."

Meanwhile, iDigital Times was able to caught a Twitter post from NetherRealm's president, Ed Boon teasing a new game that will be released next year.

"@Official_AIAS @noobde :( Hope you can make it next year! EB: Absolutely! ......unless we ship a game in April 2016 ;)," he tweeted.

While it's already clear that "Mortal Kombat X" is coming along well, fans immediately started to speculated that the game Boon was referring to was "Injustice 2."

And if Boon is indeed referring to "Injustice 2," the game would most likely not be launched during "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie release date but instead a month after.
