"Revenge" season 4 finale aired more than two weeks ago. Still, some fans can't get over with what transpired in the show's penultimate episode.
First, they can't believe Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) got the heart of nemesis Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe). VanCamp has already cleared this issue saying that scene is something they put to make the audience think.
Another part of the "Revenge" season 4 finale some fans can't get over with is the happily ever after of Emily and childhood sweetheart Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler). Some argue that it is Aiden (Barry Sloane) that Emily should have ended up with. However, Aiden died in the third season in the hands of Victoria so there is nothing they can do.
For Sloane himself, "Revenge" season 4 finale ended the love story of Emily and Jack perfectly. In an interview with TV Line, he said the two are supposed to end up together.
"I think Emily and Jack were always supposed to end up together," Sloaned said in the interview adding that Aiden was just a distraction between the two.
"(Aiden) really messed up that ride for a little bit. When he came in, it was supposed to establish that Daniel and Jack were Emily's two options - but suddenly, Aiden became a third option."
Sloane's character was only shown in flashbacks in the "Revenge" season 4 finale. To Barry's fans wanting to see him act again, the 34-year old actor will now star in mystery drama "The Whispers" as Wes Lawrence, a high-ranking Department of Defense official. Sloane said this new role of his is no different from Aiden Mathis in "Revenge."
"There wasn't much scope for emotion with Aiden," Sloane told TV Line. "He was so damaged that he almost became a brick wall, which affected all of my choices as an actor. It's nice to play someone who hasn't done all that work on himself, to see how he'd react in a crisis. Wes doesn't always deal with things well; he breaks too soon. There's a vulnerability to this character, which I'm excited for people to see."
