Manny Pacquiao lost in his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr in face-off dubbed as "Fight of the Century."
The mega bout did not live up to expectations though, reason why many are still asking for both fighters to get up in the ring once more, There were reports of a rematch with the still undefeated American fighter.
However, with Floyd saying Pacquiao is a sore loser after the latter claimed he had shoulder injury day before the fight, it seems the next fight Pacquiao can agree on is the one with Amir Khan.
In a report by The Daily Telegraph's Gareth Davies, he said camp of Manny Pacquiao are already looking at his former sparring mate as his next opponent.
"I just had a delegation in from Dubai trying to talk to me about a Manny Pacquiao fight some time early next year in Dubai. That would be interesting," Davies wrote about Manny Pacquiao's next fight. "One of the names they suggested as an opponent is Amir Khan."
The reporter also wrote that Manny Pacquiao's fight with Amir Khan would probably take place by early 2016, with Dubai as the possible host.
"That would be a possibility. We'll have to see. I would think that Manny, if everything goes right with the surgery, would look to be back in early 2016, maybe in Dubai. I don't want to rush him," he wrote.
"Apparently there's great interest from Dubai in doing big-time boxing there. With the Emirate airline making regular flights from the UK to Dubai, it's a great place for British fight fans to watch a fight."
Right now, a Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight rematch is what most of the public request for. Even Floyd's uncle, Roger, is pitching for it.
Amir Khan has a decorated professional boxing record, too. After participating at the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 28-year old British boxer went pro. He now sports a record of 30 wins, 19 of them by knock out. He also has three losses and zero draw.
