Red Hot Chili Peppers New Album In The Works! Former Guitarist John Frusciante Has Nothing But Praises To Former Bandmate Flea

Finally, a Red Hot Chili Peppers new album is confirmed to be on its way.

The followup to the 2011 record, "I'm With You" will be filled with "unique" stuff" that will definitely excite fans.

The band's drummer, Chad Smith revealed the news during an interview with Rolling Stone last December.

"We've already recorded some of the songs, just a few that we've been working on. But this is also going to be in addition to those. It's a new process. I don't know how long it's going to take. We'll have a record out next year," the 53-year-old drummer and doppleganger to comedian Will Ferrell said.

Adding, "The new album is shaping up good, man."

"We've got lots of songs, and we're working with an unnamed producer who is really challenging us to find new ways to come up with new music. We've done the 'guys get in the room and jam out songs, everybody playing together all at once' thing. And we wrote a bunch of songs that way. And we're now going to try another method that will be really challenging for us and will bring new, exciting results for the band. We've written and recorded in a way that we've never done before, so the record is going great. We all have high hopes that it's going to take off and we're going to do something very different and unique for the Red Hot Chili Peppers."

Furthermore, Red Hot Chili Pepper's bassist, Flea announced to his Twitter followers that they are already starting to record for the new album.

Unfortunately, he soon deleted his post, but Alternative Nation was able grab his Tweet.

The deleted tweet also included the name of the surprise producer named, Danger Mouse.

Meanwhile, former band lead guitarist, John Frusciante, openly expressed his love for his former bandmate Flea during one of his recent interviews saying,

"Flea and I had it the first time we played together," Frusciante said in an interview with Uproxx. "There was something there. But we developed it. Flea once read something [jazz drummer] Elvin Jones said about having chemistry with somebody: 'You gotta be willing to die for a motherf*cker.'"
