The Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao Fight last May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena was dubbed as the fight of the century.
However, the reception of the mega bout , which Pretty Boy won, was not as big as what was expected from it. Many say it underwhelmed. For a fight that is suppose to cement the two fighters' legacy in boxing, it didn't produce a positive impact.
As for Roger Mayweather, the uncle and trainer of the still undefeated American lightweight champ, he believes his nephew's fight with Manny Pacquiao hardly solidified the legacy he wants to build.
The older Mayweather thinks the boxing community does not care about Pretty Boy's clean record.
"I don't think that boxing really cares if he (Floyd) walks away undefeated or not undefeated. If he determines his career about having never lost, then that's what he needs to do," Roger told ontheropesboxing.com adding that Floyd should allow a rematch fight with Manny Pacquiao.
"He's gonna have to make his mind up, if he's gonna walk away and retire of if he ain't gonna walk away and retire. He's gonna have to make his mind up, one way or the other. You can't have another career if you're still fighting, so you have to make your mind up one way or the other. That's what he's gonna have to do."
He, too, is positive people should get more from the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight.
"I think that the people didn't see the performance they should have seen," the trainer added.
"Since they didn't get the performance that they should have seen, I think that Floyd and Pacquiao should do it again and close out what they have in a performance of what the people should have seen. That's what I think."
