Because of his ruthless plan to keep Hope safe from his power-hungry aunt, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) allowed Dahlia (Claudia Black) to put Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and the rest of her pack under the Crescent Curse. Will she have less screen time in "The Originals" season 3?
Although Hope's hybrid mother will be seen mostly as a wolf next season, executive producer Michael Narducci promised fans that she won't be written off from the show.
"Built into the DNA of the show is the Mikaelson family. There's also this young baby, and that baby has a mother, and she has a clear tie to Klaus and a clear tie to Elijah; she's fundamentally important to the show," he showrunner told TV Line, adding, "Even though she's in a worst-case scenario, we definitely have not seen the last of her."
The producers reportedly have to "resolve what has been done to her and what it means to her." Also, the cure to her situation would have to be the priority for "The Originals" season 3.
"Whether that improves her condition, or significantly worsens it, I can't say," Narducci added.
Pheobe Tonkin, who plays Hayley in the CW show, also doesn't mind seeing her character in a different form.
"I'd also like to see Hayley in wolf form. I don't know if we've seen that yet, and it could be really cool," the Australian actress shared.
Aside from seeing her character in wolf form, she's also looking forward to having another woman in the mix. Riley Voelkel, who plays the Freya Mikaelson, was just promoted to series regular.
"My favorite storylines on our show are the ones with the girls working together for the greater good, and not talking about men. Now that we have four girls - me, Riley, Leah [Pipes] and Danielle [Campbell] - I'm excited for storylines with us four," Tonkin gushed to TV Line.
"The Originals" season 3 will premiere this Fall on the CW.
