When he started craving for a vacation from touring, Ed Sheeran and his girlfriend, Athina Andrelos, were still an item. Months later, they broke up and the "Thinking Out Loud" singer is left planning out his hiatus alone.
What does he want to do when he finally gets the chance to relax?
According to an interview with The Mirror, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter doesn't want to be bothered by the glitz and glamour of show business.
"I'd like to live for a bit!" Sheeran revealed after receiving the Songwriter of the Year award at the 60th Ivor Novello Awards in London. "I feel like I live in a bubble where normal happens outside, and everything 'Hollywood' happens inside."
He added, "I'd like to get on the outside for at least a year."
Even so, he still has to get through several "Multiply" show dates for the US, Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand before he can really relax.
Would Ed Sheeran find a new girlfriend to spend time with on his upcoming vacation? He did enjoy a couple of getaways with Andrelos during their time together.
They were spotted jumping off of boats in Ibiza, Spain. Jamie Oliver's food production assistant also posted photos of the two former lovebirds enjoying Paris with friends.
Now that they've officially split though, it seems that the "Lego House" crooner is opting to stay at home and even get fit.
"I was in good shape after learning how to dance for the Thinking Out Loud video - but then I started drinking again," he shared.
The British acoustic star bought an estate near his parent's house in his hometown. He also told Entertainment Weekly that he still considers Framlingham as home despite not being able to stay there for more than a week at a time.
