It seems like despite the huge success "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie earned in the box office, Universal is about to encounter some trouble with the making of the upcoming sequel.
Highly acclaimed director Sam Taylor-Johnson is already confirmed to exit from the franchise, following reports that she had some qualms with how author, E.L. James tried to take over the helming of the movie.
Now, there are also rumblings that male lead star Jamie Dornan is going to follow the footsteps of the English filmmaker.
Following mix reviews with his portrayal as Christian Grey, the 32-year-old Northern Irish actor is reportedly not returning to "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie sequel following the request of her wife, Amelia Warner.
Apparently, Warner is not at all comfortable with her husband playing a BDSM role with the younger Dakota Johnson.
According to Movie Pilot, the 32-year-old English actress asked her husband to drop the project following accusation thrown at him, which affected her badly.
However, Dornan has allegedly convinced his wife to continue with "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie sequel because it has brought him so much fame.
"Jamie said the movie would skyrocket his career, a source told Australian magazine NW He tried to assure Amelia nothing would change but women all over the world now lust after Jamie. She hasn't seen the film and I don't think she will to be honest."
In addition, reps of Dornan told ABC News that the actor will still return and reprise his role as Christian Grey.
"Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie sequel is reportedly slated for a 2017 release date.
