With "X" (or "Multiply") getting a lot of love from all over the world, Ed Sheeran's new album will have to be planned and created carefully and perfectly.
According to the British world star, however, he doesn't want to think about that just yet. In fact, he's planning to release the follow up to "X" one year and a half from now.
"Well, I've done 40-maybe more like 50 [new songs]-already, and I'm not planning to release it for another year and a half, so yeah, I want to do a few more," he revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
The additional tracks to the 120 songs that he already had stored weren't just for fun. He wants to do as much as he can "because there's even more pressure now" for the new album.
In fact, with the tracks he already had, he could "probably put it out this year." However, the 24-year-old acoustic star wants to relax a bit first before getting into the fray again.
Fans will have to wait for Ed Sheeran's new album for a while.
"We've been touring for five years without a break," he shared. "I actually want to go and live in the house that I bought because I haven't lived in it yet."
The "Thinking Out Loud" purchased an estate in his hometown located close to his parents' house. He also told EW that he still considers Framlingham, the place he grew up in, as his home despite his global stardom.
"I was considering moving to America, but I don't even spend more than a week in my own house in England, so I can't really justify living here," he disclosed.
Meanwhile, as fans wait for Ed Sheeran's new album which might be released sometime in 2017, they can rewatch the music videos that the singer already put out for "X".
Sheeran released videos for "Sing", "One", "Thinking Out Loud" and "Bloodstream". The singer also released a very personal video for "Photograph" which included clips from his childhood days.
