A successful, gray-hair pulling bachelor, John Stamos' life is turned upside down in the "Grandfathered" trailer!
It looks like Stamos will get into the "Full House" vibe once again as he takes on Fox' new comedy show about a bachelor who suddenly finds out he actually has a grown son from a past girlfriend, as well as a granddaughter.
Somewhat like his character Jesse Katsopolis in the past ABC show, John Stamos as shown in the "Grandfathered" trailer will have to take care of a baby girl whom he just found out was actually his granddaughter. Jimmy (Stamos) may have skipped taking care of his son but he has another chance to become a parent, this time to his son's daughter.
Perez Hilton thinks it would be awesome to see Stamos "crooning a baby to sleep", reminiscent of his own time as an uncle to three girls in "Full House".
According to Entertainment Weekly, "Grandfathered" might become "the softest, gentlest comedy in Fox history." Of course, Stamos' charms would also help in making the show a potential success.
Aside from John Stamos, the "Grandfathered" trailer also featured Josh Peck (from the Nickelodeon teen show "Drake & Josh") as Jimmy's son Gerald, Paget Brewster as Gerald's mother Sara, Christina Millian as Vanessa, Gerald's best friend and the mother of his daughter. The new Fox show also stars Kelly Jenrette as Jimmy's sarcastic lesbian sidekick Annelise as well as Ravi Patel as the chef Ken.
Fox also released trailers of other new shows that are set to be released this Fall as well as for the network's midseason offering.
Other comedies include "The Grinder" which stars Rob Lowe and Ryan Murphy's new series, "Scream Queens". The TV network also released full length trailers for "The Frankenstein Code", the Steven Spielberg movie sequel-like remake "Minority Report", "Rosewood" as well as DC Comics' "Lucifer".
