'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date Will Be Announced At E3 2015? Tetsuya Nomura To Reveal 'Interesting' Details About The Game Soon

| By

The highly anticipated RPG "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date is reportedly going to be announced at E3 2015, Design & Trend reported.

However, the publication noted that Square Enix is notorious in releasing their big games way behind the scheduled date, thus Design & Trend warned fans to not expect too much during the E3 convention on June 16 to 18.

But if no "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date would be announced in June, expect big news in November instead.

Director Tetsuya Nomura will reportedly unveil "interesting" details about the game at D23 Expo in Japan on Nov. 6 to 8.

"We have some interesting things planned," the director explained. "There will be Kingdom Hearts 3 news, and various things, I think. Development on Kingdom Hearts 3 is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order."

Furthermore "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date is reportedly dependent on the game's progress following the switch to Unreal Engine 4, which was explained further by Tai Yasue.

"The technology is moving forward a lot," the game designer explained of the switch from Luminous to Unreal Engine. "That's something we've learned from the West, I think, in a big way. We're using Unreal Engine 4 right now, and that really has changed the way we make the game."

In other news, new characters in "Kingdom Hearts 3" will reportedly include Marvel and Star Wars characters, but since no one from Square Enix has given out details yet, there are reports claiming that if that doesn't happen it's almost certain that the weapons would at least appear in the game, Motoring Crunch reported.

"Even if the likes of Captain America and Obi Wan Kenobi don't make it into Kingdom Hearts 3, we feel that Square Enix might introduce the weapons from the aforementioned worlds," the gaming publication mentioned.

The idea was apparently revealed to them by a source close to the gaming studio, claiming that Sora would "get the ability to wield a light saber," while Goofy could be getting added boost in its defense with the help of Captain America's shield.
