Following its successful launch in the arcade, "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date is reportedly imminent.
While there has been no official announcement yet, the classic fighting game is expected to be announced in the next few months following the arcade release.
According to Christian Today there is a big possibility for Bandai Namco to announce "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date at EVO 2015, which is scheduled on July 17 to 19.
While Game Spot did not mention anything about the upcoming game's release, it reported that more and more new characters are being included in the line up with original characters having upgrades with their looks and strength, Yoshimitsu being the latest.
New characters in "Tekken 7" which are now available in the arcades include, Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio.
And according to director Katsuhiro Harada, there will be more characters to be unveiled through game updates, Silicon Era reported.
"By the way, currently, we have four new characters, but later on we'll continue to add them through updates, so look forward to it," Harada said. "We don't plan on reducing the number of characters, so yes, we're thinking of adding more."
Meanwhile recurring characters include Alisa Bosconovitch, Asuka Kazama, Bryan Fury, Devil Jin, Feng Wei, Heihachi Mishima, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, King II, Lars Alexandersson, Leo Kliesen, Lili, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Sergei Dragunov and Steve Fox.
When the announcement to "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date comes, it's also expected that the game will run under the latest Unreal Engine 4.
"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it," Harada told Unreal Engine. "Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring 'Tekken 7' to any platform we desire."
