After a series of delays "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" PS4 release date is finally confirmed to happen next year.
Game directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann explained the reason to the games delay,
"Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned," Druckmann and Straley said.
"We've made the difficult choice of pushing the game's release date," Straley said in a PlayStation blog post. "Giving us a few extra months will make certain that 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."
With that in mind, Neil Druckmann reportedly revealed that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" progress is coming along well and they're alreay done working with the motion pictures for the game, iDigital Times reported.
Furthermore, Druckmann is confident that the upcoming game is going to be a success, adding that he wanted to inspire other developers into creating great quality game just like the "Uncharted" series.
"I hope its success inspires other developers to, even if you're making an action game, take your characters seriously and treat them honestly," Druckmann said as reported by IB Times. "Really love your cast and wrack your brain about how you -- through gameplay, through interactivity -- get the players to connect more to those characters no matter what game you make, whether you make an RPG, a shooter or a choose a branching adventure game."
And while fans are eager to get their hands on the "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" once it's released on PS4 consoles, Naughty Dog announced that it will be the last installment to the gaming franchise.
"The team at Naughty Dog will be heads down working through 2015 making sure that Nathan Drake's story gets the closure it deserves. Come Spring 2016, you and Nate are in for one thrilling, emotional ride."
