The 2012 Zagat Fast-Food Survey, the restaurant guide with reviews and ratings, has been released and Subway ranks number one in 3 categories while Wendy's is the top overall mega chain and In-N-Out Burger is the top overall large chain.
Subway, currently the world's largest franchise, was named as being number one in three categories: Healthy Options, Most Popular and Top service. Subway has ranked number one for 4 consecutive years.
"Four consecutive years of being No. 1 in key Zagat's ratings is an accomplishment our entire system can celebrate with pride. From our sandwich artists on the front lines to the many dedicated team members who ensure that consumers have an abundance of fresh selections, everyone shares in this winning streak," said Tony Pace, chief marketing officer, Subway Franchise World Headquarters, in a statement.
Zagat reviews 274 national restaurant chains for its annual Fast-Food Survey. More than 10,500 diners voted on categories such as salads, sandwiches, pasta and pizza, as well as food, décor and service.
