The whole United Kingdom might have rejoiced at the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby girl but Anna Kendrick just dissed Princess Charlotte.
She's only a few weeks old but it looks like the fourth-in-line to the British throne already received her first public insult.
The "Pitch Perfect 2" star was in the country when the royal baby was born and she shared some of her observations about the "royal baby mania" during an episode of "Late Night With Seth Meyers". While everyone around her was in a celebratory mood, she wasn't really impressed with the whole royal baby fever.
"I don't know why anybody cares about the royal baby. It's a baby. It hasn't done anything. It hasn't achieved anything. It was just born," she told Meyers on Thursday night.
The "Twilight" star couldn't comprehend the mania, or why "the city had gone crazy."
"There were all these flags up and there were people like, baking special cakes to have at lunch in celebration of the royal baby," she said. "I was like, 'The baby doesn't know you're doing that! The baby doesn't care!'"
Aside from questioning the British tradition of celebrating a royal birth, did Anna Kendrick diss Prince Charlotte's looks as well?
"The baby was on a full page of the Daily Mail," she continued. "This picture of the baby- It just looks like every baby - all babies look like sacks of potatoes!"
On the other hand, The Inquisitr noted that Kendrick's remark wouldn't be affecting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's youngest daughter. She is, in fact, being surrounded by her loving family and supporters.
Proud grandfather, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Middletons were just some of her first visitors in Kensington Palace. Queen Elizabeth II also told a tea party visitor that she loved having another girl in the family. Prince Harry also prepared a lot of gifts for his new niece.
According to Racked, the Duchess of Cambridge is also determined to give her daughter a "normal childhood."
Former royal chef Carolyn Cobb revealed that Prince William's wife actually does most of the cooking at the moment.
Do you think Anna Kendrick dissing Princess Charlotte was just an exaggerated joke or should the Royal Family be offended?
