Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has been rumored that it had a low-key announcement as it is now being listed on Samsung's Active variants' list.
The Korean tech giant hasn't confirmed the existence the third Samsung Galaxy S6 variant yet, but it can now be found on Samsung's web page as eligible for the Samsung Plus program in the US.
The listing also revealed its release date as April 10, 2015, same with Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, though it didn't show up at the recently concluded MWC 2015 where latter latest S6 series debuted.
Tech Radar noted that Samsung Galaxy S6 Active's appearance on the website could indicate an imminent release following its recent leaked photos from evleaks as it has been revealed that it will be an AT&T exclusive when it hit the US market with black and white camouflage designs.
As for its specs, it will not feature a fingerprint sensor like the Samsung Galaxy S5, but will retain its waterproofing and rugged design 'toughened up with screws, physical buttons on the front of the device and waterproof capabilities,'' Tech Times reported.
According to GSM Arena it will carry SM-G890A as its model number and will sport a 3,500mAh battery which is 950mAh larger than the Galaxy S6.
As per previous rumors, it will pull off a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2160 x 1440) screen as the other S6 handsets; octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and its chipset will be supported by a 3GB of RAM on board.
NDTV added that since the active variant has surfaced online, it sparked rumors that Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S6 Zoom is on its way too.
