Upcoming iPhone 6s And iPhone 6s Plus Will Boast A Camera Upgrade; Other Specs And Features Have Been Revealed Too!

| By

The upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus which are rumored to be announced in fall will have a camera upgrade of 12MP sensor.

This news was confirmed by IHS Technology senior executive, Kevin King, though it was mentioned by a source that the individual pixel will be smaller, GSM Arena reported.

But G4Games noted that 'bigger pixels (and thus lower pixel density) usually means better low-light pics with less noise.' The 12MP sensor upgrade cannot be predicted yet because there are still factors to consider, but Aple could offset this by changing other factors, such as the size of the image sensor and other internal components. Compared to Apple's previous flagships this could be the major upgrade that iPhone fans have been waiting for a very long time since the Cupertino-based tech company has started using its 8MP sensor in 2011 with the iPhone 4s.

Though photos that were taken on the iPhone 6 series were stunning, GSM Arena believes that Apple's switch to a higher sensor is a "purely practical reasoning" to compete with other flagships which supports 2k display.

In addition, before this news has been confirmed by Keving King. John Gruber of Daring Fireball has already claimed in November that the next iPhone series '"the biggest camera jump ever" with a dual-lens system that delivers DSLR-quality imagery,' Mac Rumors.
added.

As for its specs and features:

'Apple's next-generation iPhones are rumored to retain 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, powered by an A9 processor with 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM and featuring Force Touch, improved Touch ID recognition, gesture control support, an additional microphone near the speakers for improved voice quality, a new rose gold color option, internal mechanical design changes and more,' Apple Insider wrote.
