Following the successful release of the first "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer, fans began to wonder where Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman could be?
Since the demi-god gladiator princess was not shown in the first footage, there are speculations that she will rather appear in the next trailer together with other new characters like Aquaman.
A new concept art for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman costume was made public, where the amazonian princess is seen donning a cape like that of Batman and Superman.
While it's not yet clear if this costume will appear in the movie, it should be noted that the costume previously revealed did not actually receive great feedback from fans and was even compared to that of Lucy Lawless' "Xena: Warrior Princess."
"Sentiments toward Gal Gadot's casting as Wonder Woman (who was not shown in the trailer) have tended to be even pricklier," Yahoo claimed. "But might there be a change in the wind with the reveal of a new, full colour look at the actress in costume?"
"It's also our first indication that she will be clad in what looks to be a pretty impressive cape, which is by no means a mainstay of the DC Comics superheroine's costume," Umberto Gonzales captioned his concept art.
In addition to the new costume, the new "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer could also see Wonder Woman's origin history, which reportedly will be featured in the movie, according to Erin Robinson of Clevver Movies.
"The Amazonian princess is a demi-god, her father is Zeus," she said. "The Zeus father storyline is in line with the rebooted Wonder woman comic series, which is doing pretty well."
Adding, "DC could be setting up wonder woman to be their version of Thor, and could be a huge hit to not only how she'll be portrayed in Dawn of Justice but also what we could potentially see in the much-rumored solo movie."
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot who will reprise her role again as "Wonder Woman" in Warner Bros. planned standalone movie, is now moving forward following the exit of would be director Michelle MacLaren.
NY Daily News reported that Patty Jenkins, who directed the award winning crime drama film based on the true story of the infamous prostitute serial killer named Aileen Wuornos played Charlize Theron, titled "Monster," has been tapped to replace MacLaren.
