'World Of Warcraft' Movie Will Be Trilogy? Travis Fimmel Reveals Something Surprising!

| By

"World of Warcraft" movie will not be shown in theaters until next year, however there are already rumblings claiming that a follow up is already in talks.

While that hasn't been confirmed yet, director Duncan Jones previously said in an interview with 2p that the movie adaptation to the hit RPG is to practically "establish" everything to make way for a possible trilogy.

"Peter Jackson did a magnificent job of setting the table: for Tolkein's universe with his first Lord of the Rings film," he explained when asked if "World of Warcraft" movie will be a trilogy. "I know that my job in this first film is to establish certain characters, places and culture while telling a story that a broad audience can be excited by!"

Adding, "Hopefully, if I have done my job right, people will want to know and see more! There is certainly plenty more to tell! I would love to be part of that process of expanding on the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will all depend on what you, the audience, think of our first film!"

If that's the case then main man, Travis Fimmel should probably try to learn more about the game.

Surprisingly, the "Vikings" actor who will portray the lead character, Anduin Lothar is not at all familiar with the hit RPG.

In an interview with Crave Online, the 35-year-old Australian actor admitted that he has zero knowledge of the game even after he was tapped for the role.

"No, I wasn't at all," he admitted when asked about the famous game. "It's amazing how many people play the game. I saw all the visuals. The movie is so close to Warcraft. They really kept it true to the game and you get a pretty good sense of the game just from what we're doing on set."

Despite having a great time filming scenes from "World of Warcraft," Fimmel said that he has no interest in playing the game.

But despite sharing a great time while filming scenes from the movie, Fimmel insisted that he has no intentions of playing the game.

"No, to be honest, I haven't," he answered when asked if ever tried playing the game after filming the movie. "I've never been much of a gamer."

Instead, what helped him portray his role for "World of Warcraft" is his experience from the hit series "Vikings."

"It certainly helps," he said. "It's very different. Warcraft is very motion capture-oriented and special effects-orientated and we wear costumes that I couldn't get through a door with all the armor. You can't lift your arms above your head with that on, but Vikings is a bit more natural with the fighting."

In conclusion, he tried to promote the show to the fans of "World of Warcraft," claiming that like the RPG the series also shows strategies.

"I think it's a great show for the mentality of gamers. They like the games that are full of action, they like strategy. That's so much what Vikings is about, the strategy and how they can overcome great obstacles. And there's action everywhere, and women that are very easy to watch."
