Pregnant Zooey Deschanel Can't Wait To Give Birth To Her First Baby! 'New Girl' Star Misses Eating 'Soft Cheese & Sushi'

| By

Zooey Dechanel has given up her vegetarian life style way before she got pregnant apparently because of her "veggie limitations."

"Actress Zooey Deschanel was forced to give up her vegan diet - because it was far too limiting. The 'Elf' star gave up meat some years ago but recently turned her back on her vegetarian and non-dairy regimen after discovering she couldn't eat soy or wheat products. She tells Bust magazine, 'I gave it a good try, but sometimes you just need a little something, a little meat.' She added to Health magazine, her food sensitivities made it difficult for her to star healthy as a vegetarian," AceShowbiz previously said of Deschanel's end to being a vegetarian.

But even if she's no longer a vegetarian and can now eat meat, her pregnancy prevents her from eating some of her favorite food, thus she can't wait to give birth already.

"You can't eat so many things when you're pregnant!" she exclaimed in an interview with "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "If I was vegan, I'd just be like...ohhh."

"You can't have sushi. You can't have cheese that tastes good," she added. "You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It's a total joke! You can't have alcohol. I miss that, I like wine."

In other news, the "New Girl" star reportedly wants people to stop calling her "adorkable" already. The 25-year-old star is apparently tired of the term, which was a supposed marketing plot from the show.

"I don't always identify, perhaps, with the way that I'm portrayed in certain public contexts," she explained to Huffington Post. "I try to stay away from that sort of thing. That was something that was calculated, you know what I mean? ('Adorkable') was our marketing department at Fox and they did a really good job with our first season, but that's a word that describes the character that I play, not me. I don't personally have identification with that word myself."
