| By

Will fans get to see Eren Yeager and the rest of the cast this year for "Attack on Titan" season 2?

Following the highly successful season 1, fans are already asking for more and while there has yet an official statement about its release date, speculations suggest that it will most likely happening this year.

Otaku House reported that season 2 of the post-apocalyptic anime will probably going to hit TV screens in July.

However, Crunchy Roll is claiming that "Attack on Titan 2" release date will most likely happen next year.

Contradictory to what Otaku House reported, iDigitalTimes said that Wit Studios would want to let the manga "get a little farther ahead" from the anime series, thus season 2 would most likely not happening anytime soon.

Apparently, the first season of the show already featured half of the story from the manga, which hasn't even been published.

To further strenghten the claims of iDigital Times, VC Post reported that director Testsuro Araki already confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date will be in 2016.

And so as not to disappoint avid fans of the series, Wit Studios has released a movie compilation of "Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow."

In addition the follow-up to the spin-off prequel titled, "No Regrets, Birth of Levi," has already been released last month, so there's nothing to feel bad about even if "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date will not be until next year.

Next yer fans would get to see "Attack on Titan" season 2 focus on the plot that will follow the story of Hajme Isayama's manga character Eren dicovering something big about the titans, VC Post reported.

"Based on Hajime Isayama's manga, 'Attack on Titan' now on its highly anticipated season 2, tells the story of a boy named Eren who joins the Survey Corps in order to protect humanity against the unexplainable, giant, man-eating, Titans, the publication revealed. "Throughout the series Eren discovers shocking things about the titans that no man has ever witnessed, like humans being able to shift themselves into titans too."
