Despite reports that ASAP Rocky is releasing his new album today, the famous rapper said that it will not be until June 2, when the new record hit shelves.
"Nah, that was just a rumor," he told USA Today of the May 12 release date.
"June 2," he said when asked when fans should expect his new album. "Not that close, but not that far."
Over the weekend ASAP Rocky shared an alternate cover photo for his new album,"which featured a trippy, distorted image of the late A$AP Yams' face, distinguishable by his birthmark and cross tattoo as a memorial for his fallen friend," according to Music Times.
He also posted a photo on Instagram that featured a black-and-white cover image of his face with Yam's birthmark colored in purple.
Furthermore ASAP Rocky also shared a new single to be included in his new album titled, "Everyday" during his Red Bull Academy lecture in New York.
He previously shared a track from his album titled, "The Beauty and The Beast" at Tribeca Film Festival for his movie titled, "Dope."
Hot New Hip Hop reported that ASAP Rocky participated in the "CRWN" series, where he talked about his new album,"At.Long.Last.A$AP."
In an interview with Billboard the famous rapper hinted that he has been collaborating with Robert Pattinson's girlfriend FKA Twigs for the new album.
"I got one for you, he teased" [Long pause] Illz is thinking right now, like, 'You know who it is!' Uh... [Long pause] Alright, fine. Three years ago, I did a song with Twigs."
"At.Long.Last.A$AP" will feature artists including,
"Also Lykke Li. Juicy J [who appears on single "Multiply"]. Clams Casino. I can't give nothing else away."
He promised that the new album will see the serious side of him, something that most did not know about.
"People really don't know the other side of me," the 26-year-old rapper explained. "The deeper side, the more musical side, the more intellectual side. When I first came on the scene it was more of this trendy, bourgeois, pizazz attitude. That's still me but at the end of the day I think that kind of overshadowed the whole purpose of me doing what I do. I'm an incredibly diverse artist, I'm a universal artist. At least that's how I see it."
