So there will be no "Constantine" season 2, none yet. NBC has canceled the DC-based TV series last week but the show is still looking for a new mother network. Developer Daniel Cerone is not giving up on it yet.
Many are disappointed with NBC for not allowing the Matt Ryan starrer to get a sophomore run. Good thing some comic-based TV series stars and personalities are pitching in for "Constantine" season 2. Stephen Amell, who stars in CW Network's "Arrow" which is also from DC Comics, expressed desire to guest star in the show. He also thinks a crossover episode between the two is possible.
Whenever talking about crossover episode, it is the big bosses who has the last say. Will "Arrow" and "Constantine" season 2 get to share a universe? The CW show's showrunner Marc Guggenheim thinks so. In fact, he has 'millions' of idea to stage this big television moment.
"It would be wonderful and we certainly have a million ideas," Guggenheim said in an interview with Variety. He insist though "Arrow" and "Constantine" TV series crossover is still uncertain as the latter is still looking for a network. He thinks difference in network will be its biggest hindrance.
"It's hard for me to say mainly because A: it's not my decision to make and B: with 'Constantine' being shopped around to other networks... it's really hard to make plans when a show's kind of in limbo."
Previously, Amell pitched in for a "Constantine" season 2 and a crossover with the famous DC mythology Lazarus Pit as the center of the story.
"The reason that I was going to guest star on Constantine, at least the idea that we were throwing around, was [Constantine's] an expert when it comes to the Lazarus Pit, which is now something that is a part of, and will continue to be a part of, Arrow."
