Avril Lavigne has revealed the reason behind her absence on the public eye, but divorce rumors with her husband Chad Kroeger sparks again.
Last year the "Hello Kitty" singer was rumored to be in the verge of a nearing divorce with Nickelback's frontman as the two were not seen in public together. But in a recent interview with People Avril has blasted all the rumors that have been swirling around for quite some time. The 30-year-old has finally broke her silence and opened up about her undisclosed illness.
She said that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease which confined her to bed for five months and revealed to 'Good Morning America' the process that she had gone through before her diagnosis. (via Daily Mail)
"I went from doctor to doctor for about eight months until I found somebody that had the knowledge of Lyme disease and the experience of treating it,' she said during the interview.
''I actually knew I had it the whole time, probably since the summer, and was just up against a lot of doctors telling me, 'You're crazy.''
The "Let Me Go" singer then announced on the said phone interview that her album "Fly" which serves as the anthem of the Special Olympics has been released and all net proceeds will go the aforementioned event.
After her shocking revelation, Avril is back on Instagram and uploaded a photo with her brother Matt Lavigne frolicking in the sun which she captioned "Sippin On Sunshine,'' Hello! Canada reported.
Now that Avril's life is now out in the open again, divorce rumors with husband Chad Kroeger fuels again with Chad's absence on her latest Instagram post.
But in contrast to these rumors, the 40-year-old musician is "very thankful" that the "Hello Kitty" singer opened up about her illness, Yahoo UK reported.
''I'm like OK the wife has come out and said this and now I don't have to keep hiding,'' he told KIIS FM's Australian radio show Kyle & Jackie O.
"With everyone going 'What's wrong with your wife, what's wrong with your wife' and me just going, 'ah she's gonna be fine'. I'm like 'okay, I can talk about this now.'"
VC Post added that Chad Kroeger wasn't with Avril due to his Australia tour.
