The Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight is done.
Pretty Boy won and normally, that would earn him respect from the public and his co-boxers because he just beat the man the world is saying as the one who will knock him out.
However, that hardly seems to be the case. Although the strategy he used against Manny Pacquiao was something he also used in his other 47 wins, the world is still not convinced he is the best ever.
For Ricky Hatton, a former world champion that battled both fighters, he is not disappointed about the way the "Fight of the Century" turned out. What he is irked about is Floyd Mayweather Jr,'s treatment of boxing. He even has some harsh words for the undefeated lightweight champ.
"Later in 2007 when our fight was scheduled, Floyd was going: 'I'm going to beat you like a b****, butt-f*** you.' It was nonsense," Hatton told the Sun.
"Floyd has his way and I have mine, but there's a line between selling tickets and disrespecting the sport. What's the point of being the world's best fighter if everyone thinks you're a d***head?"
The retired British boxer also talked about how determined Mayweather Jr was to up-one him when it comes to little things, like arriving at the airport.
"A few minutes into the the journey, we're chatting away, having a drink when the pilot gestures to me to come forward."
"Hey Ricky, listen to this idiot," said Hatton.
"He turns on the speaker and over the radio I hear Floyd arguing with the pilot of his plane behind: ''I'm not letting that motherf***** get there before me, f***ing overtake them!"'
"We can't do that, Sir"
Overtake that motherf***** - I'm the champ. I've got to get to New York first. I'll pay whatever you want."
