"Masters of Sex" season 3 premiere is just two months away. The Showtime period drama will return on July 12 and according to earlier spoilers, the TV series will see a major time jump from where it left off last season.

By the time the show starring Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan re-airs, people will see Bill Masters' son and Virginia Johnson's daughter all grown up.

"Season 3 finds our main characters, Bill and Virginia, in the middle of a national spotlight brought about from the publicity they received in Season 2," Latino Review wrote of "Masters of Sex" season 3 premiere episode.

"Their work will soon be brought to the forefront, as it will have a profound impact on the pending sexual revolution, which will also usher in the counter-culture era. It will force a more revealing look at contemporary marriage at the time, which the three-way marriage of Bill, Virginia and Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald) becomes a more involved plotline."

Aside from the expected time jump by in the "Masters of Sex" season 3 premiere, fans can also expect to see the re-appearance of one of favorite characters from the first two seasons. Helene York, who played Jane Martin, Bill and Virginia's first subject for sex study, is set to return. This spoiler was first reported by Deadline.

"One of Masters Of Sex's favorite couples is back. Heléne Yorke, who recurred heavily on Season 1, is returning for the upcoming yorkethird season of the period drama," the website wrote.

"Jane went on to star in the video footage for the study, earning the affection of the aspiring filmmaker hired to shoot it, Lester (Kevin Christy). The duo's quirky chemistry and budding romance were a highlight of Masters Of Sex's first season but that was shelved in Season 2 because Yorke was unavailable, co-starring in Bullets Over Broadway on stage. (Yorke only appeared in the second season premiere.) Back then, Masters Of Sex creator/executive producer Michelle Ashford said that the producers would try to bring Yorke back when possible, maybe in Season 3, and that is now a reality."
