British acoustic star Ed Sheeran's had a gay kiss scene during his cameo in a live episode of the American sitcom, "Undateable," last Tuesday.
He appeared as himself, singing his phenomenal hit single "Thinking Out Loud" in an open mic contest in Justin's (Brent Morin) bar. Unfortunately for the 24-year-old Grammy winner, he didn't quite meet the Morin's expectation and promptly kicked him out of the bar.
"Hey, you have potential. I just wouldn't quit your day job yet," he told Sheeran. Instead of feeling bad about being harshly criticized, however, the red-haired world star planted a big one on Morin instead.
He was joined by other cameos in the episode, including Scott Foley, Zach Braff, and Minnie Driver who each gives Morin a slap across the cheek "for Ed."
According to Perez Hilton, the East Coast version of the sitcom (which was aired first) only showed Sheeran and Morin getting all cuddly. He decided to get cheeky - or lippy - during the show's West Coast airing.
Unreality TV reported that he landed the cameo thanks to his friendship with "Undateable" showrunner Bill Lawrence. They are linked through "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." star Courtney Cox, whom the "Lego House" singer is known to be close friends with.
Ed Sheeran's gay kiss isn't his first time being playful with his colleagues either. Unreality TV shared that he kisses one of his co-workers whenever he gets drunk.
Fangirls don't have to worry though. He reportedly plants a big one on "Lindsay" who apparently is in a relationship with another woman.
"She works on our team and likes girls, so whenever I get drunk I smooch her just because there is no danger there," he reportedly revealed. "She's in a very loving relationship with someone without a penis. I might be in trouble with Lindsay for this."
