Sony Xperia Z series has been confirmed to finally receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop in August.
According to Telstra, Sony Xperia Z1, Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia Z1 compact are all set to receive Android 5.1 Lollipop update in three months. But interestingly it was noted on its listing that a "showstopper issue" has been found, but Telstra did not specify this issue, GSM Arena reported.
Meanwhile, IB Times explained on its previous writing what a 'show stopper' means.
''ShowStopper (aka blocker) is bug that hinders or stops from continuing or running your test scripts (in this case applications of the smartphone), you cannot proceed to the next level,'' IB Times wrote.
In addition to this list of devices, Sony has launched the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2, Motoring Crunch reported.
Owners of these devices can now update their smartphones through OTA update.
PressandUpdate added that other supported phones of this update include Sony Xperia Z Ultra GPE, and Z Ultra, while Sony Xperia ZL, ZR, Z1S and Z3v are soon to receive the update too. Though it is still unclear if all these devices will receive the Android 5.1 update in August.
