At least two person will die in the finale, this is what most "Revenge" season 4 episode guide speaks about.
Showrunner Sunil Nayar revealed the finale, called "Two Graves" is a straight homage to the Confucius quote that kicked off the show, "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves."
Nayar described the final "Revenge" season 4 episode epic. For the ABC TV series lead star Emily VanCamp, the finale will provide fans a closure regarding Emily Thorne's four-season journey to clear the name of her father and get revenge from Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) who framed him.
"Yeah, I do," VanCamp told Entertainment Weekly when asked if the finale will bring closure.
"I'll put it this way: I think they'll be satisfied. I think a couple of things happen that they've been waiting for for a long time. In the grand scheme of Revenge, I feel like we exhausted all of the different story possibilities. I think we're ending in a good place, and I think it's time to move on, as sad as that is."
"Revenge" season 4 episodes may have faltered when it comes to ratings but it was not lacking the twists that the show is known for. In fact, the very last episode provided what could be the biggest twist audience has ever seen in in the show. For Emily VanCamp, her favorite plot change is the one that involves resurrection of Amanda's father David Clarke (James Tupper).
"[Emily's] dad returning was one of the fun ones. She's been fighting to avenge her father's death for all of these years, and then there he is, so navigating that relationship was very tricky but really fun. I was really inspired by James Tupper, who plays my father, because he brought this new energy, and we talked at length about what that relationship means."
