The next "Orphan Black" season 3 episode called "Newer Elements of Our Defense" will air this Saturday.
That is only the fourth of the 10-episode third season and yet, BBC America is already investing in the future. On May 7, the network announce that the sci-fi TV series, which stars Tatiana Maslany as multiple clones, has been renewed for a fourth season.
BBC America president and general manager Sarah Barnett commends the show's freshness and Maslany's brilliant performance which already earned her Golden Globe and SAG nominations as well as victories in Critics Choice Awards and TCA award.
"Orphan Black is an entirely fresh and original show that stands out even in today's crowded TV landscape. Tatiana Maslany's buzzy, virtuoso performance headlines a brilliant cast and we are delighted to let our vocal and passionate fan base know that this wildly entertaining ride will continue next year," Barnett said after the announcement of "Orphan Black" season 4.
"Orphan Black" co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson also expressed delight with the renewal.
"We're thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga. Huge thanks to our partners Temple Street Productions, and to BBC AMERICA and Space. We're extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the roller coaster with our amazing fans #CloneClub."
Will there have more female or male clones (Ari Millen) in the fourth season? That remains to bee seen depending on what will happen in "Orphan Black" season 3 which digs deep into the mystery over the male clones created by Castor.
