Eva Mendes gave birth to Ryan Gosling's baby last September so she will be one of the millions of women in the world that will celebrate Mother's Day. However, she felt she doesn't deserve to be put on the spotlight yet this Sunday.
During an interview with Access Hollywood Live, the 41-year-old actress was asked how she'll celebrate Mother's Day. "There is no plan," Eva said. "I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way. She's seven months [old]."
According to Us Weekly, instead of getting all the attention from her boyfriend Ryan Gosling and her daughter Esmeralda Amada, Eva Mendes is planning to shower the most important woman in her life.
"This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom," she told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover.
"She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her. We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love," the brunette beauty revealed. Last January, Eva Mendes tried to hold back her tears during her speech at the Hollywood Stands Up to Cancer event.
"Each one of us in this room that is here tonight, we're here because someone in our family or someone close to us has been affected by this insidious disease. Tonight I'm here with my family and my brother Carlos, who I love so much," she said as reported by 3News.
A few years ago, Ryan Gosling's girlfriend openly talked about her relationship with her mother during an interview with Huffingtonpost. The correspondent asked her what her thoughts are about mothers being best friends with their daughter. "One of the beautiful things about my mom is, she was a mother," Eva Mendes said. "I had plenty of friends -- that was taken care of. But my mom was always my mother, an authority figure, somebody that I couldn't tell everything to."
