While fans anxiously wait for the official announcement to "Hart of Dixie," Jamie King revealed that the show's rating will probably have nothing to do with the management's decision.
Rachel Bilson who recently gave birth to daughter, Briar Rose with long-time boyfriend Hayde Christensen, is reportedly the reason why the show is now in jeopardy.
In an interview with E! News, King revealed that there are many things being considered why the studio is now at par in continuing the story of Zoe Hart.
"It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us," she admitted. "It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an imp at on the way things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."
While the 36-year-old actress did not mention if the management made a decision already, she shared that she already misses working with her co-stars.
"It's really interesting, because when my son wakes up in the middle of the night, immediately I'm like, 'Oh! It's time for me to get to set!' It makes me want to cry because I love this show so much. It's still a success. It's really whatever the universe has in store. Either way, it's been such a gift."
Rachel Bilson on the other hand, has left the spotlight as she reportedly flew out of Los Angeles to avoid any news about "Hart of Dixie" being cancelled, E! Online reported.
Kpopstarz added that Rachel Bilson is trying to stay away from Los Angeles because she wanted to keep her baby out of the limelight and with her show's situation right now, it's most likely that she will be feasted upon by the media once she appears on public.
Meanwhile, CW president Mark Pedowitz previously stated that the management is carefully weighing everything out before making any final decisions and contrary to Jamie King's statement, the studio's boss remained insistent on looking into the show's ratings as the basis for their decision.
"We're going to see the ratings," he announced. "I think Leila did a great job in the 10 episodes this year of making something fun for the fans. So if it ends, there's a great finale. If it doesn't end, there's a great season finale, but we're not committed one way or the other yet."
