Gorillaz Big Comeback Accompanied With A New Album? Damon Albarn And Jamie Hewlett Teased Fans On Instagram

| By

It's been four years since Gorillaz has released a record, which was titled "The Fall," now fans are hoping that the English virtual band would end its hiatus and would finally launch a new album.

While band creators Damon Albern and Jamie Hewlett have yet to officially announce a new album, co-creator Hewlett has already announced the band's big come back on Instagram, where he unveiled the new face of 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel starting 2015.

Since the band has yet to give out further details about their come back, fans and experts are speculating that they could probably be working on a new album spontaneously just like what they did with "The Fall."

Damon Albarn briefly talked about their last album in an interview with Billboard, where he revealed that everything was made using his iPad while on tour.

"I literally made it on the road," Albarn said of the last album. "I didn't write it before, I didn't prepare it. I just did it day by day as a kind of diary of my experience in America. If I left it until the New Year to release it then the cynics out there would say, 'Oh well, it's been tampered with', but if I put it out now they'd know that I haven't done anything because I've been on tour ever since."

"I would imagine there's some kind of future, but at the moment there's no time for the future - only the present," he said. "Who knows? I'm reluctant to say anything [about Blur], because if I do, it just gets taken out of context and then I'm accused of being a wind-up."

A new album for Gorillaz remains to be seen, just keep tuning in here at Franchise Herald for more updates.
