'Silent Hills' Still Possible To Happen? Norman Reedus Hoping That Konami Would Pursue With The PS4 Game

| By

While the cancellation of "Silent Hills" in PS4 consoles is already confirmed, fans are still hoping that Konami would be able to find a way to push through with the game.

Like game fanatics, Norman Reedus, who's supposed to play the lead character in the game is also disappointed with the announcement.

"Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it," "The Walking Dead" star posted on Twitter.

But, while he is disappointed he's also hopeful that "Silent Hills" would get to arrive in PS4 consoles in the future.

"Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone," he added.

Kotaku released the official statement of Konami, announcing the cancellation of the "Silent Hills" project, which is supposed to be directed by award-winning movie director Guillermo del Toro.

"Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic 'Silent Hills' project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.

In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements."

And while Konami and game creator Hideo Kojima failed to further discuss the reasons of their split, IGN said that "Silent Hills" is "The true victim in this feud is Silent Hill... a series in desperate need of reinvention as the modern horror landscape flows and morphs around it."
