There were rumors that Jamie Foxx is dating Tom Cruise's ex-wife Katie Holmes, but the 47-year-old actor denied the reports.
According to Mirror, the star of "Annie" said that they are just good friends and that the controversies have been affecting his relationship with his girlfriend. He didn't name his lover, but she has some strong words to say about the 36-year-old actress.
"I'm not the person who wants to be defined by anybody I date. Even if I was dating someone, no one would know anyway," Foxx told Dish Nation. "But it affects my situation because I got a girl, who's like 'yo, who's this b****?'."
Last March, a photo of the Hollywood star surfaced together with Tom Cruise's ex-wife and they appeared to be holding hands and playing footsie. According to Us Weekly, it was taken in February but it only came out after a month.
"She's getting everything from Jamie that she didn't get with Tom," their source said.
The website also reported that Jamie Foxx already has a pet name for Katie Holmes. The singer allegedly calls the actress "my girl" so could he be referring to the same woman when he said he got a girl? "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" villain finally opened up about how he felt about that photo.
"The second time [the rumors] happened... we get together to do an animation thing and then somebody flips a picture to make it seem like we're holding hands," he explained as reported by the Inquisitr. "I said, 'If it was a real relationship, why didn't they just get that? Why didn't they get us kissing?'"
Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes' dating rumors started in 2013 when they were seen getting cozy on the dance floor at the East Hamptons. Fox News reported that the rumored couple tried to keep their relationship a secret because the actor is good friends with her ex-husband and they even starred in a film together back in 2004.
"Jamie is being careful because he has a lot of respect for Tom [Cruise]," their insider said.
