Christina Hendricks: ' Calling Me Full-Figured is Just Rude'

| By

In a recent interview with an Australian publication Sun-Herald, a petite reporter put the gorgeous Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks in an awkward position after calling her full-figured to her face, not once but twice, leaving the actress clearly uncomfortable.

Hendricks, 37, is confident in her curves but is clearly annoyed by being asked about them over and over again, especially in this manner. (Watch the video below)

Australia's Sun-Herald Fashion Editor Kate Waterhouse asked: "You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What has been the most inspiring story that you can remember, where you've inspired someone?" As she says it, she motions with her hands an hourglass figure.

Hendricks politely smiles and then rolls her eyes before attempting to answer the question. She then hesitates and says "I don't know" before turning off-screen to her publicist to intervene.

Waterhouse apologized for her use of the phrase "full-figured" and moved the interview along, but according to the Sydney Morning Herald's story, Hendricks later said off-camera, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."

This isn't the first time Hendricks's killer curves have come under fire. At the 2010 Golden Globe awards, Hendricks wore a figure-hugging peach confection that was panned in a New York Times story in which a stylist said of the star, "You don't put a big girl in a big dress."
