H.I.V.E. Mention In Last 'Arrow' Season 3 Episode Is A Guide To What's Next In CW Show's 4th Season?

| By

"Arrow" is not yet done with its third season.

There are still two weeks to go before the finale and the next, based on "Arrow" season 3 episode guide release, will see an arranged wedding between Nyssa al-Ghul (Katrina Law) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) known now as Al Sah-him after accepting the offer from Ra's al Ghul to become his heir.

While Team Arrow is not yet done with the Head of the Demon, fans pretty much have an idea now what to expect from the show come fourth season.

Ra's al Ghul name dropped what could be the next big bad of the CW superhero TV series come season four. H.I.V.E., a.k.a. Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination, is a DC Comics supervillain group that Superman and Teen Titans battled.

In the latest episode of the show, Ra's al Ghul referred to it as a group headed by his former friend Damien Darhk who is a minor villain in the comics. With the fact that H.I.V.E. is connected to some of the show's mystery, particularly the one about Diggle's brother and Deadshot, it was fast for audience to assume the group will be the new enemy of the Emerald Archer and his allies.

Fans could be right. H.I.V.E. might play a bigger role in "Arrow" season 4 but the show will take it slow in giving clues. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed this in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"I will say that season 1 didn't set up the big bad of season 2 and season 2 didn't set up the big bad of season 3, at least as far as the season finales were concerned," executive producer Marc Guggenheim says. "We'll probably go further than we've ever gone in a season finale to give you a sense as to who the big bad of the next season will be. But we still have a lot to do with Ra's and the League of Assassins."

Like how Guggenheim said it, Oliver and his crew need to take care of Ra's al Ghul first. Read the full "Arrow" season 3 episode guide for the next episode called "This is Your Sword" by clicking here.
