After months of dropping hints on Instagram, Austin Mahone and Becky G finally confirmed that they're dating!
The young couple has been uploading sweet snaps on the photo-sharing site but had not openly admitted to the relationship until recently.
The "Shower" singer was the first to admit the real score between them during an event a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, the recently-turned 19-year-old teen heartthrob confirmed their status to MTV News.
"We're dating," he reportedly told MTV in a video that has since been taken down. "It's crazy. I never had, like, a real relationship before, so it's pretty crazy."
He also added that he feels "great being in a relationship with someone that does the same thing you do."
"We understand each other, we understand what we do," he continued.
According to Hollywood Life, this was in direct contrast to ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello's statement about their relationship just a few days before breaking up last year.
Cabello previously told the gossip site that Mahone was a "really, really good guy" who treats her "really, really well" and makes her "feel nice."
His statement was met by indignation from Fifth Harmony fans. He publicly dated Cabello for a short time last year before splitting in November. The "Sledgehammer" singer's supporters quickly took to Twitter to defend her, creating the hashtag #CamilaDefenseSquad to show their support.
Although Austin Mahone and Becky G looks very happy together, hanging out in studios and lounging around in hot tubs, it seems that Cabello wasn't feeling too good about her ex-boyfriend's statement.
"D*mn....good to know," her tweet read, which fans think was about Mahone's comment about not having a real relationship before Becky G.
The 18-year-old was accused of using her past relationship with the "Mmm Yeah" singer to promote her group's then new single. Mahone was quick to defend his ex, calling out Holllywood Life for publishing the rumors.
