While the electronic funk duo has yet to release an official statement, there have been rumors that they will surprise fans by releasing their new album on Jay Z's recently launched music streaming service called Tidal.
Furthermore, Harder Blogger Faster told fans that Daft Punk is well on its way working with a new album that would most probably be announced on the said streaming service, which they also co-owned.
In addition, house music producer named Paul Johnson teased fans on Facebook claiming that Daft Punks new album would be a "house" genre.
"Their working on a new house album right now Norman," he confirmed.
Prior to the new album, the electronic funk duo tried to hold a concert in North Dakota but unfortunately superintended, Reed Robinson had to deny the duo in pursuing with the show citing that Devil's Tower National Monument is no place to hold a musical show, Stero Gum reported.
"This being a night skies park and a natural park and a sacred site to 24 different tribes, that would be considered sacrilegious and gets into that 'inappropriate use,'" Robinson said. "And that meant maybe we would have to close portions of the main trail to facilitate this kind of stuff."
