After releasing the lyric video of his new single a few weeks ago, Adam Lambert finally debuted the "Ghost Town" music video yesterday!
Did the artsy, black and white video and catchy song catch people's attention just as the 32-year-old singer wanted?
According to various reviewers, the clip and "hauntingly catchy" new track certainly did its job and gaining people's attention.
Although Express UK thinks this new offering is "a move away from the bombastic, synth-led operatic heights of his previous albums", it is still "powerful" with "a killer whistled hook that is impossible to get out of your head".
Entertainment Tonight declared that seeing the highly anticipated video was "worth the wait".
Lambert reportedly joked that he wanted to make the music video to have a "Coachella gone goth" vibe and he collaborated with famed director Hype Williams to make that happen.
"We started talking about ideas and I sent him a bunch of photos that really inspired me, the fashion that I really wanted to bring to the video and the look of it, so it really was a collaboration," he told the entertainment site.
Furthermore, Adam Lambert's "Ghost Town" music video was actually made up of the the Grammy-nominated singer's friends because he wanted it to "represent real parts of my life, 'cause I wanted it to feel like a piece of me". In effect, it made which made the shoot very relaxed "like a house party".
"I wanted to bring in some cool people so that everyone could feel like they were a part of this thing," the "American Idol" alum explained. "No matter who you were, no matter how old or your race or your sexual orientation or anything, I want it to feel very melting pot."
