Nobody can deny that Jeremy Renner makes a great Hawkeye for the Marvel film franchise. Being around heroes like Captain America, The Hulk, Thor and Iron Man, however, most of the "Avengers" fans usually overlook his character.
With the sequel already out, the 44-year-old actor is trying his best to share Hawkeye's other abilities (aside from his hardcore archery) to the general public.
Jimmy Kimmel let him take center stage during his late night show and helped him get his ode for his character across - to the tune of Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud".
"But listen I've got powers too, they're pretty sweet, I promise I can do so much more than just archery," he sings, insisting that he's "as super as they are" referring to his other more powerful teammates.
Jeremy Renner also sings about Hawkeye's other powers, such as opening a pickle jar, scoring no less than 70 at bowling (after six beers) and kicking a** at "Mario Kart". He also showed off his collection of scarves and berets as well as his trombone playing.
According to Rolling Stone, the arrow-yielding Hawkeye had started off as an "unwilling villain" in the first film.
Thankfully, director Joss Whedon reportedly promised more screentime for the sharpshooter in the second movie.
"There's stuff between Hawkeye and the Scarlet Witch that's some of my favorite stuff in the movie, and it's there because they're the only actors I had," the helmer revealed to the publication.
"When we started shooting in Italy, I had Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Jeremy Renner; everybody else was busy," he continued. "So, I'm like 'Okay, I guess these guys are gonna have a scene, and I can work with that.'"
Jeremy Renner's character as Hawkeye aside, he's a very talented actor in real life. He has appeared in the Oscar-winning film, "The Hurt Locker", action-thriller "The Bourne Legacy", "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" as well as Oscar-nominated film "American Hustle."
