"Hannibal" season 3 premiere will see the main characters away from each other.
According to earlier reports, Mads Mikkelsen's Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Gillian Anderson's Dr. Bedelia du Maurier will start the show in Europe posing as couple.
Meanwhile, Hugh Dancy's Will Graham and Laurence Fishburne's Agent Jack Crawford are nursing their wounds. Reports also have it that Dr. Lecter and Bedelia will pose as couple while looking for a new victim.
While the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere is expected to be exciting, the arrival of new characters will take it to another level. The new season of the NBC TV series will introduce characters from the books of Thomas Harris where the show was based from. One of the biggest names being added is "The Hobbit" actor Richard Armitage who will play villain Francis Dolarhyde portrayed in the film version by Ralph Fiennes.
The English actor won't be seen on the "Hannibal" season 3 premiere episode yet. According to reports, he and other additional characters will arrive by mid-season. Armitage previously said he is not interested in doing horror projects. However, there was something in "Hannibal" that made him say yes.
"I wasn't familiar with the show, and even before I'd read the script I was already saying yes because it was Bryan Fuller," Armitage told Digital Spy. "I just wanted to work with him."
"I suddenly realised that I was going back on something that I'd said a long time ago, which was that one of the genres I probably won't do is horror. But I just didn't see [the role of Dolarhyde] as horror, and I then went and watched Hannibal seasons one and two."
Armitage was fascinated by the show and its theme. He even said that "Hannibal" TV series lead stars are what elevates the show.
"To me it sort of sits in a very interesting place, it's the horror genre but there's something beautifully decadent and gothic about the way that it's shot, and the performances are extraordinary. Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy and Laurence Fishburne just give it this elevation, so I knew that the bar was high when I went in there."
