There are still three episodes left in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" for its sophomore run but for the fans of Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Det. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), the finale should come now. The two characters' romance has always been put on hold. Jake once confessed to Amy about what he really feels about her but he did not push for it.
In the last "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 episode, the long awaited romance of the two will finally take off. Melissa Fumero herself confirmed this in an interview with Details.com.
DETAILS: Have Jake [Andy's character] and Amy [Melissa's character] kissed yet?
Melissa Fumero: No, but there's maybe something that happens in the finale. I can't say much, but I can say they go undercover to catch a thief, and they lock lips at some point.
So Jake and Melissa will share a kiss in the penultimate "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 episode but not the kind that fans expect. Maybe it will be the start of something. The finale of the first season of the show saw Jake confessed about his feelings for her. However, he did not push it as he went out with Sophia Perez (Eva Longoria) and Amy was committed to someone else.
The Fox comedy TV series will return next week for the episode called "Det. Dave Majors." Read "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 episode guide below:
