This bout is dubbed as the "Fight of the Century" and could very well define the career of each fighters. For Floyd Mayweather Sr., this should be the last time that his son go up in a boxing ring. As for Manny Pacquiao, he wants the Filipino fighter to be locked up in jail.
Mayweather Sr. even claimed that the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight should not happen because his son is on a different level compared to the Filipino fighter.
"This era is closed. It's done. Pacquiao is done. He needs to be locked up in jail because it's time to save his a--. Pacquiao needs to lock himself up. He is not on Floyd's level. All he is, is an opponent. That's all he is. Nothing more, nothing less."
The older Mayweather could be talking about Pacquiao's impending case with tax authorities back in his country Philippines. Before everything were approved, Pretty Boy was frank to say that his rival only wants to get him with him on the ring because Pacman is already broke and just wants a big paycheck.
On the same interview, Mayweather Sr. insisted that he would rather want to see his son retire, dashing hopes of many fans to see Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight sequel.
"I hope that Floyd gets out the game at the right time," Mayweather Snr. told the Sunday Telegraph.
"This is a gambler's game and I don't think Floyd should be gambling too much. Once you reach that pedigree and make that kind of money, you don't have to fight no more.
"I hope he walks away after this fight. Whenever you get in that ring, anything can happen. It looks easy but it ain't as easy as it looks. He makes it look easy."
